Black pail of silicone heat-resistant metal paint
Anti-Corrosion Coatings
Industrial Silicone Heat-Resistant Metal Paint
A silicone-based protective finish for the external metal surfaces of hot industrial equipment. Temperature grades and colours are selected for the actual operating conditions, with preparation and full curing essential before heat exposure.
- Colours
- Black, grey, silver, yellow, red and white; availability depends on grade
- Pack sizes
- 1, 4, 15 and 20 kg
- Shelf life
- 12 months, sealed in a cool, dry, ventilated place
Surfaces & applications
External boiler surfaces; chimneys; heated industrial pipework; external tanks and equipment
Match the grade to the equipment
Choose the coating grade using the measured external surface temperature, heating cycle and environmental exposure. The range includes different temperature ratings; ordering a high-temperature paint does not mean every colour and pack has the highest rating.

External industrial surfaces
Suitable project types include boiler exteriors, chimneys, heated pipework, tanks and other external equipment surfaces. The coating combines heat resistance with corrosion and weather protection when used within the selected grade and prepared correctly.
Service limitations
Do not expose this coating directly to flame or immerse it in hot water. The detailed application guidance excludes exhaust pipes and oven interiors. A flame-resistant inorganic coating is a different product and should not be substituted based solely on a temperature number.
Thin coats and full curing
Apply two even coats with approximately 24 hours between them. Heavy coats slow drying and can affect adhesion during heating. Although the coating may be touch dry after about 2 hours, allow 7 days before putting the equipment into hot service.
Surface preparation and thinning
Remove oil, dust, moisture, rust and poorly bonded old coatings. Sand sound existing finishes before recoating and establish adhesion on the prepared surface. Use compatible thinner; do not dilute with water or gasoline. Keep containers sealed and away from heat during storage.

Application process
Build the right protection system
- 01
Cool and clean
Take the equipment out of service, let it cool and remove surface contamination, rust and loose coatings.
- 02
Stir and thin
Stir thoroughly. Use 10–20% compatible thinner for brushing or 30–40% for spraying, adjusted to the equipment.
- 03
Apply two coats
Apply even coats, keeping approximately 24 hours between coats and protecting the surface from moisture.
- 04
Cure before heating
Allow 7 days for curing before heat exposure. Check film continuity and adhesion before returning the equipment to service.

Frequently asked questions
Can it touch an open flame?
No. This silicone metal paint is for suitable external hot metal surfaces and must not be exposed directly to flame.
Can I heat the equipment as soon as the paint is touch dry?
No. Allow 7 days of curing before heat exposure; touch drying is only an early stage of film formation.
Does one grade cover 200–1,200°C?
No. These are grade options across the range. Select the specific temperature grade and compatible colour for the job.
