Selection Notes
The complete protection cycle matters: preparation, coating, drying, exposure and removal. Water-washable vehicle paints and peel-off films use different removal methods. Match the material to the surface and test the original finish after the protection period.

Choose the removal route before the pack size
Peelable protection dries into a skin that can be lifted from a compatible finish. Water-washable vehicle paint is removed with water or a wet cloth. Both are temporary surface treatments, but they belong to different removal routines. Start by deciding what will happen at the end of the protection period, then compare the substrate, application method and drying space. A film that applies quickly but is difficult to remove from deep recesses may not suit the production sequence.
Match the product to the protected operation
General latex films cover selected smooth surfaces; irregular-part coatings help with complex components; renovation products protect finished areas during building work. Furniture and shipping products should be assessed with the original finish and packing materials. Welding protection and paint masking address process exposure, while blue coatings address defined electronic assembly areas. Frosted-glass coatings add a removable visual effect. Choose the function first, because drying times and exposure requirements vary across these groups.
Compare the complete protection cycle
Prepare a sample with the actual original finish. Record application method, coats, coverage and drying conditions, then include the intended handling, storage, packing or processing stage. Inspect after removal for residue, colour change, gloss change and fragments. Protect sharp corners and impact-prone areas with appropriate physical packaging as well as the selected surface film. Include the application and removal labour when comparing material formats.
Useful starting points
For general-purpose water-based latex film, compare the 500 g and 1 kg packs and the 24-hour through-dry reference. For shipping protection, TCBV64-3 offers a 20 kg format and declared mechanical and peeling data. For large irregular components, the dedicated protective coating offers packs from 5 kg to 1,000 kg IBC. For small furniture work, the 450 ml spray format provides a different application route.
