Selection Notes
Specify the substrate, chemical identity and concentration, temperature, immersion or splash exposure, preparation standard and complete coating system. Documentation must correspond to the exact resin and product supplied.

Start with the resin and service medium
The range includes vinyl ester glass flake mastic, vinyl ester glass flake coating and IPN8710 anti-corrosion coating. Identify the medium, concentration, normal and maximum temperature, and whether the exposure is immersion, splash, vapour or intermittent wetting. Include the cleaning cycle. The product name alone cannot define chemical compatibility or the complete lining system.
Mastic and coating have different roles
A mastic is considered where a heavier-build lining layer is required; the coating is considered for the layer and application method specified by the system. Glass flake is a barrier filler, while the resin controls other important parts of the material behaviour. Keep vinyl ester documentation with vinyl ester products. An epoxy technical table should not be used to establish a vinyl ester mixing ratio, cure schedule or resistance limit.
Water-contact applications need their own specification
IPN8710 is supplied as a two-component coating system for the specified anti-corrosion application. Its selected service description concerns water-related duty below 60°C. Surface drying and hard-drying references do not establish readiness for immersion. Agree complete cure, cleaning before service and the documentation required for the exact water or food-contact use and destination market.
Purchase the complete system
Include the substrate condition, preparation method, total area, geometry, primer or intermediate layers, specified thickness and inspection requirements. Ask for the selected product's component ratio and cure instructions with the order specification. For maintenance work, describe the existing coating and remaining contamination, and identify how the repaired area will connect with sound surrounding material.
