Cover contours while preserving removal access
Liquid protection can follow curves, corners and recessed areas that are awkward to cover with cut sheet film. The dedicated irregular-part coating is a water-based polyurethane material supplied as a milky liquid. Its suitability depends on reaching the required surface and later removing the dried layer. Plan drainage and access before coating parts with holes, deep recesses or closely spaced features.
Choose an application method for the geometry
Brush, roller, spray and dipping methods can be considered for suitable components. A spray process needs a clear view of shadowed areas, while dipping needs a way for excess material to drain without bridging openings. Use a representative part to identify thin areas, pooling and difficult removal points. Keep threaded, mating or functional surfaces outside the coating area where the manufacturing process requires them to remain clear.
Match packaging to throughput
Available formats are 5 kg, 18 kg, 200 kg and 1,000 kg IBC. A small pack can support trials, while larger formats can support repeated processing where dispensing and storage are suitable. The listed storage range is 5–30°C with a three-year shelf life under the specified conditions. The below −5°C freezing-point declaration does not replace the recommended storage range.
Define the workpiece before requesting a sample
Provide material, original finish, dimensions and photographs showing corners and recesses. Describe whether protection is for handling, storage or a specific process, together with the duration and removal stage. Include the coating equipment and the amount of space available for drying. Inspect the entire part after removal, particularly holes and edges where a film fragment may affect the next operation.
