Product overview

Surfaces and applications

Signs, ornaments, architectural details, selected furniture accents and decorative objects.

A gold effect for decorative surfaces

The coating creates a gold leaf appearance through a painted finish. It is suitable for decorative work on compatible metal, plaster and wood, including ornaments, statues, signs and architectural details. The appearance depends on the base colour, texture, application pattern and lighting. Approve a finished sample using the intended undercoat and final application method before completing a large object or batch.

Prepare each substrate for a consistent result

Remove dust, grease and loose paint. Wood and plaster should be sound and dry; address absorbent or uneven areas with a compatible preparation system so they do not create patchy colour. Remove rust and weak material from metal. Where the steel preparation specification calls for St3, use thorough power-tool cleaning to that grade; St3 is a power-tool preparation grade. Coat the clean surface before renewed contamination or visible rust develops.

Control colour and application marks

Stir the paint thoroughly before use and maintain a consistent application direction. A brush can help reach relief, corners and lettering; a roller can cover suitable broad surfaces. Work to natural edges and keep the application pattern consistent across adjoining areas. Compare the dried finish under the lighting in which the object will be displayed, including side lighting that may reveal lap marks.

Supply for workshops and decorative projects

Small packs support colour approval and individual objects, while kilogram packs support repeated workshop use. Include the substrate, undercoat, indoor or outdoor location, desired finish and approximate area in the enquiry. OEM requirements can be discussed alongside pack format and expected quantity. This is a water-based product: do not add an arbitrary solvent thinner taken from instructions for a different paint system.

Is this genuine gold leaf?
