IPN8710 anti-corrosion coating pail
Anti-Corrosion Coatings
Food-Grade IPN8710 Anti-Corrosion Coating
An IPN8710 coating range for specified corrosion-protection duties on water-handling equipment and related infrastructure. Primer, topcoat and combined-system options support different project specifications.
- Available forms
- Primer, finish coat and combined primer-finish versions
- Surface dry
- Approximately 1 hour
Surfaces & applications
Specified water pipelines, water tanks and drinking-water compartments, subject to the selected product’s documented scope and the project’s destination requirements.
IPN8710 for water-handling equipment
The described system combines modified resin and epoxy components in an interpenetrating-network coating. It is selected for corrosion protection of equipment and structures such as water-supply pipe interiors, drinking-water compartments and storage reservoirs. The stated service scope for the described direct water-contact use is below 60°C.

Primer, finish or combined system
Primer, finish-coat and combined primer-finish arrangements are available. The correct choice depends on the substrate, preparation and project specification. A combined product name does not remove the need to achieve the required coverage and curing. For repairs, identify the existing coating and whether it will be removed or retained before selecting the new system.
Drying and return to service
The listed drying references are approximately one hour to surface dry and 24 hours to hard dry. Cool, damp or poorly ventilated conditions can extend the period. Hard dry is a film condition, not automatic permission to fill a tank or pipeline with drinking water. Complete the product-specific curing, cleaning and acceptance process before returning the equipment to use.

Food and water-related purchasing requirements
The application material also mentions food-processing environments, edible-oil storage and pickling vessels. These are different contact duties and should be assessed separately. Include the material being stored, service temperature, cleaning process and required contact documentation. Food-grade in the product name does not substitute for documentation applicable to the exact supplied product and destination use.
Practical project details
Provide pipe dimensions or lining area, tank geometry, substrate condition, access and ventilation constraints, the chosen primer/finish arrangement and the planned application date. These details support both material selection and quantity planning, particularly when the work must fit a maintenance shutdown.

Application process
Build the right protection system
- 01
Identify the exact contact duty
Name the liquid, temperature and equipment use.
- 02
Prepare
Remove contamination and achieve the surface condition required for the selected system.
- 03
Mix and apply
Use the corresponding two-component instructions and the selected primer/finish arrangement.
- 04
Cure fully
Allow the specified cure; the one-hour and 24-hour figures are drying references.
- 05
Clean and accept
Complete the relevant cleaning, inspection and contact-use requirements before filling or returning to service.
Prepare the substrate, apply the specified system and allow complete curing before the required cleaning, inspection and return-to-service procedure. Request the formulation-specific documentation for the proposed use. Food-grade naming alone does not establish approval for every food or drinking-water application.

Frequently asked questions
Does the product name establish approval in my country?
No. Acceptance depends on the exact product, intended contact, supporting documents and the destination’s requirements.
Are primer and topcoat interchangeable?
Use the system specified for the project. The role, application rate and curing requirements of each component can differ.
Are primer and finish versions available?
Yes. Primer, finish and combined primer-finish versions are listed.
What temperature is stated for the described drinking-water use?
The application description specifies below 60°C.
Can the equipment be filled as soon as the coating is hard dry?
Return to service follows the complete product-specific cure, cleaning and acceptance procedure, not the hard-dry time alone.
