Assess the complete system

Surface preparation, primer compatibility, application thickness, cure and inspection belong to the same specification. Food-contact or drinking-water-related use requires documentation relevant to the exact product and intended use.

Build a service description

List every medium that contacts the lining during operation, cleaning and shutdown. Include concentrations, normal and peak temperatures and whether the surface remains immersed or alternates between wet and dry. Identify vapour zones and interfaces separately where exposure differs. Provide the actual substrate condition and photographs of existing damage for maintenance work.

Define the layers and interfaces

Select the resin family first, then the primer, mastic or coating layers and finishing requirements that make up the system. Pay particular attention to welds, corners, penetrations and repaired areas. Record the preparation grade and film-thickness requirements from the project specification. Use the selected product's mixing and curing instructions, without transferring a ratio from a different resin or product code.

Plan inspection before application

Agree which checks apply to the project, such as substrate cleanliness, environmental conditions, wet and dry film build, cure, adhesion or lining continuity. Allocate inspection stages before areas become inaccessible. For two-component products, track component identity and mixing time so a defect can be traced to its application batch. Do not put the system into immersion simply because the surface feels dry.

Water-contact and procurement requirements

For IPN8710 water-related applications, include water temperature and the intended contact use, together with the relevant documentation requirements. The selected service description is below 60°C, while complete cure and preparation for service need their own acceptance. Request the quotation around the whole system, total area and delivery schedule, including the material needed for detail work and repairs.

Application Questions

Can a temperature value alone select a lining?

The medium, concentration, exposure mode and cleaning cycle are also needed. Review these with the resin system and application requirements.

When is the equipment ready to return to service?

Complete the selected system's cure and the project's acceptance checks. Surface dryness alone does not establish readiness for immersion or chemical duty.
