General-purpose film or shipping protection
The general water-based latex coating suits trial work and surface protection in 500 g and 1 kg packs. Its one-coat reference coverage is 4–6 m²/kg, with approximately 30 minutes to surface dry, two hours before recoating and 24 hours to through dry. Shipping-protection grade TCBV64-3 comes in 20 kg packs and provides a different specification for handling and transport applications. Choose against the complete protection cycle, including the planned packaging contact.
What the shipping data describes
TCBV64-3 lists tensile strength ≥10 MPa, elongation ≥100% and adhesion ≤0.5 MPa. Its peeling descriptions refer to stainless steel, flat glass and ABS at 23°C. These values support a structured comparison, but a lacquered cabinet or textured component still needs its own sample. Reference coverage and drying figures from the general latex coating should not be transferred to the shipping grade.
Coverage, edges and removal access
Estimate the entire coated area, including returns and edges, then account for the number of coats and application losses. A continuous film is important for removal; spreading material too thinly can leave tears and fragments. Choose an accessible starting edge for peeling and include recesses in the inspection. Avoid applying directly to weak paint or an absorbent finish without first checking removal on that surface.
Purchasing for repeat production
Record the selected grade, colour, pack size and application process after the trial. Include the protection duration, packing materials, destination conditions and approximate monthly area in the enquiry. For production orders, agree the same surface preparation and drying criteria used in the successful trial so the sample result can be repeated.
