Surfaces & applications
LCM display modules, LCD assemblies and selected COG, COF, TAB and TCP connection areas after process compatibility evaluation.
Protection for display-module assemblies
The blue coating is used for encapsulation protection of LCM assemblies, including COG, COF, TAB and TCP structures. It is also described for moisture-resistant insulation at ACF electrode connection areas in LCD and PDP panels. The application boundary should follow the assembly design so that connectors, test contacts and other functional surfaces remain available where required.

A cured film that supports rework
The material is described as low-viscosity and forms a film with strength and flexibility after curing. Peelability supports rework when the protected area later needs to be accessed. Plan the removal path and ensure that peeling will not place unwanted mechanical stress on a connection, flexible circuit or component. Inspect the assembly after removal rather than judging rework only by how easily the film lifts.
Two curing references
The listed curing references are six hours at 25°C or one hour at 60°C. Choose the route around the component's temperature tolerance and the available production equipment. The film thickness and access to heat affect a real assembly, so a representative process sample should be used to confirm the handling stage and final inspection.

Bottle sizes and material control
150 ml and 1,000 ml bottles are available. A smaller bottle can suit low consumption or trial work, while the larger format supports repeated assembly operations. The stated shelf life is 12 months. Keep identification and batch information with the material and avoid contamination when transferring it to a dispensing container.

Application process
Protection through the complete cycle
- 01
Define the coating area
Identify the module structure, connection area and surfaces that must remain clear.
- 02
Prepare
Use the component-compatible cleaning method and ensure the area is dry.
- 03
Apply a controlled film
Distribute the blue coating evenly without flooding adjacent contacts or recesses.
- 04
Cure
Use the selected reference route: 25°C for six hours or 60°C for one hour, within the assembly's process limits.
- 05
Inspect and evaluate rework
Check coverage, assembly function and the removal procedure on the representative module.
Apply to the defined area of a clean assembly and keep connectors or functional contact surfaces outside the coating boundary unless the process specifies otherwise. Cure according to the selected formulation. Assess adhesion, electrical requirements and removal on the actual module.

Frequently asked questions
Can the coating be removed for rework?
Peelability is part of the product purpose. Confirm removal force and any residue on the actual assembly and cure cycle.
Which model is represented by this specification?
This page describes the 4200EB version shown on the product packaging and curing information.
Can the 60°C curing route be used for every module?
Use it only where the complete assembly tolerates that temperature. The room-temperature route provides an alternative reference.
What are the main display applications?
LCM encapsulation involving COG, COF, TAB and TCP structures, and moisture-resistant insulation of ACF electrode connections in LCD or PDP panels.
