White pail of removable liquid protective film
Heat-Resistant Peelable Protective Coatings
Heat-Resistant Peelable Welding Protection Coating
A removable liquid coating for surfaces near welding and installation work. It is used as part of a protection arrangement for compatible glass, aluminium frames and curtain-wall components where spatter and construction contamination are concerns.
- Surface dry
- 20–30 minutes at room temperature
- Film formation
- 40–60 minutes at room temperature
Surfaces & applications
Window and curtain-wall installation, adjacent glass protection and selected finished surfaces around fabrication work.
Protection around welding and installation work
This liquid film is intended for compatible surfaces close to welding, façade installation and related construction work. Examples include glass, aluminium frames, uPVC components, tiles and metal sheets. It is selected as a removable barrier against process contamination and welding spatter reaching the protected surface, with the actual working distance and exposure included in the trial.

Application access and film build
Roller application is practical on accessible glazing and curtain-wall surfaces; brush work helps reach edges and profiles. Spray application requires a nozzle of at least 2 mm according to the application information. Cross-direction passes can help establish even coverage. The reference consumption of approximately 8 m²/kg relates to a 0.1 mm wet layer and should not be treated as a promise for every substrate or tool.
Drying before the operation
Use a dry, ventilated environment and avoid application below 0°C. At room temperature, surface drying takes approximately 20–30 minutes and film formation approximately 40–60 minutes. Controlled warming up to 50°C can assist drying. Start the surrounding work only after the protective layer has formed and the sample application has shown suitable coverage and removal.

Removal and inspection
After the work, allow the area to reach a suitable handling condition and peel the film. Inspect glazing, frame coatings and edge details for retained particles and changes in appearance. Physical shields and normal welding controls remain part of the operation; the coating's drying temperature is not a stated welding-service temperature.

Application process
Protection through the complete cycle
- 01
Prepare
Clean and dry the glass, frame or metal surface and confirm compatibility with its finish.
- 02
Coat
Roll, brush or spray a continuous layer; for spraying use the stated minimum 2 mm nozzle.
- 03
Dry
Allow 20–30 minutes to surface dry and 40–60 minutes for film formation under suitable room-temperature conditions.
- 04
Trial the exposure
Use representative spatter distance and process conditions on a sample before the full job.
- 05
Peel and inspect
Remove the film after the process and examine the protected surface.
Clean the surface and form a continuous coating before the surrounding work begins. Allow it to dry, then assess the protection under the actual spatter exposure and working distance. Peel after the work and inspect the surface. Use the coating alongside the welding operation’s physical shielding and work controls.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a coating for the weld joint itself?
The product concerns protection of adjacent compatible surfaces. Specify exactly where the film will be applied.
Is there one temperature rating for every welding situation?
A welding protection trial must reflect the actual exposure. Spatter contact, duration, distance and substrate condition differ between jobs.
Is 50°C the maximum service temperature?
No. It is the upper temperature stated for assisted drying. Welding exposure must be assessed separately using the actual process and working distance.
Can it be rolled onto curtain-wall glass?
Yes. Roller application is one of the stated methods. Check the glazing treatment, frame interfaces and drying conditions before covering a large area.
