Surfaces & applications
Vehicle display preparation, temporary decorative finishes, promotional vehicle projects and body-panel colour trials on compatible original paint.
Temporary colour and washable masking
The product can provide temporary body colour, cover an existing graphic for a short-term display or form a washable barrier over compatible surfaces during paint-related work. A clear version allows the original colour to remain visible, which is useful when comparing surrounding finishes. Select the coloured or clear version according to the job rather than expecting one finish to serve every masking and decorative purpose.

Conforming to the workpiece
Brush, roller and spray application are available, with printing, scraping or dipping also described for suitable industrial processes. The liquid can follow smooth and irregular surfaces without the cutting joints associated with sheet film. Substrates mentioned in the product information include stainless steel, aluminium alloy, compatible plastics and glass-reinforced plastic. Automotive paint should be sound and fully cured before compatibility testing.
Drying, weather and removal
At room temperature the reference surface-dry time is 20–30 minutes and film formation is 40–60 minutes. Ventilation or controlled warming up to 50°C can shorten drying. The clear film may show a slight yellow tint at unusually thick application. Water is the intended removal medium, so rain and washing must be considered during use. Remove with water or a wet cloth, working progressively rather than scratching the original finish.

Application process
Plan the finish and the removal
- 01
Inspect the finish
Check repaired areas, damaged lacquer, edges and trim. Clean off oil and dirt and dry the surface before coating.
- 02
Define the coating area
Mask uncoated components and agree the colour or clear finish. Test the selected method on a representative panel.
- 03
Apply a uniform layer
Use the chosen brush, roller or spray process. The reference consumption is approximately 1 kg per 5 m²; actual consumption varies with the surface and film build.
- 04
Dry and remove
Allow the layer to form before the display or process. After use, rinse with water or wipe with a wet cloth and inspect the surface.
Start with sound, clean vehicle paint and test an inconspicuous area. Mask surfaces that are outside the coating scope. Apply evenly, allow the coating to dry and check appearance in the intended lighting. Plan for water sensitivity during the temporary display period and test the removal method before full-body use.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a permanent automotive refinishing paint?
It is a temporary, water-washable colour coating. Choose it when removal is part of the project.
Can it be used on recently repaired paint?
New, repaired or weak paint needs a separate compatibility trial and adequate curing before any temporary coating is considered.
Can a clear version be used for masking?
Yes. The clear finish provides a removable barrier while allowing the surface colour to remain visible. Check compatibility with the surrounding paint process.
Can the film also be peeled?
A sufficiently thick layer may allow peeling, but this product is selected and described primarily for water-assisted removal. Use the peelable wheel product when a peel-off wheel finish is the requirement.
